Rover AI Website Agent for Wix

Rover answers visitor questions, guides people to the right page, and helps complete bookings, forms, and shopping tasks by text or voice.

Install

  1. From your Wix Dashboard, open App Market and search for Rover AI Website Agent.
  2. Click Add to site and approve the four narrowly scoped Wix permissions shown below.
  3. Open Rover AI Website Agent from the Wix dashboard.
  4. Complete the three setup stages: Agent, Visitor actions, and Insights and review.
  5. Click Go live, wait for the verified Healthy state, then use Open live site to try Rover as a visitor.

What gets installed on your site

One async functional script at the end of the page body. No theme edits and no custom code. It preloads during idle time and starts automatically when the page is visible:

Wix instance IDs, billing state, and Activity / Insights settings stay server-side. They are not exposed as script tag attributes.

Permissions Wix requests

  • Manage Your App — to manage basic app activity
  • Manage Embedded Scripts — to inject the Rover embed
  • Read site, business, and email details — to label and configure the installed site
  • Read Site URLs — to restrict the runtime key to the published site domains
  • Rover does not request member, Stores, or Bookings permissions.

Billing

Each Wix install picks its own plan. Free covers 300 credits/month with 1 site. The current App Market tiers are Starter at $29/month for 2,500 credits, Growth at $79 for 10,000, and Pro at $199 for 30,000; annual billing is about 17% less. Scale is configured at $499 for 100,000 credits but is not currently listed. All plans include Activity insights. Listed installs manage plan purchase, upgrades, payment method, and invoices through Wix Billing.

Troubleshoot

  • Rover doesn't appear on the published site → open Rover AI Website Agent, check Installation health, and click Repair installation.
  • Rover is still finishing → leave the dashboard open while the visible operation progress completes; retry only if Wix shows a recoverable error.
  • Need advanced behavior, knowledge, tools, journeys, voice tuning, or deep analytics → use Advanced settings in Rover.
  • To remove Rover entirely, uninstall it from Wix. The lifecycle webhook disables the script and marks the installation removed.
